Las Vegas Children’s Book Author Wins Award for Best Website

LAS VEGAS (June 23, 2014)—Las Vegas author C.A. Hartnell writes for kids and understands that, today, most of them do much of their reading online. Consequently, she puts a great deal of creatively and thought into her website. The effort paid off when www.cahartnell.com won a 2014 eLit Silver award for Best Author Website. The annual independent eLit awards recognize the best in English language entertainment digital publishing. The Jenkins Group, Inc., a Michigan-based book publishing company, has presented the popular Independent Publisher Book Awards since 1996 and the eLit Awards for five years.

“I’m just delighted to have won this award because my website is really the point of contact for so many of my young readers and their parents and grandparents. It’s a key element in my branding and uses the design elements of the fifties to communicate that I write children’s fiction focusing on the cultural and historical events of that amazing period,” Hartnell comments, “Of course, my website is an ongoing project and next year, I hope to win the gold!”
