Hello friends. I’m back from a fun and productive weekend at the Los Angeles Times Book Festival on the USC Campus in Los Angeles, California. Enormous crowds of eager book buyers visited and shopped in my booth that was decorated like a blast to the past. Like wow! My Team and I sold lots of books and met many awesome people!

April 2013

Hello friends! Happy Spring! The roses in my front yard are getting their buds ready to burst open with bright red beauty. Birds are chirping and temperatures are mellow. My book series, The 1950s Adventures of Pete and Carol Ann begins in the month of April on April 1, April Fools’ Day. Scary Spring: Our Polio Fright of 1955 is book one in the series. Pete and Carol Ann have a few words to share from their story.
“Shhhhh,” said Pete. He pointed. Look at that. Is someone playing an April Fools’ trick on us?” Behind the bush-covered fence, a gray thatch of hair bobbed along advancing in our direction. “Back up Carol Ann so he won’t see us.”
Read about what happens in Chapter 1: April First. And find out how Pete and Carol Ann deal with Mr. Chester and his sneaky puppy on the first day in April in my book, Scary Spring. In your world, enjoy the spring showers and flowers!
